About department

The department of sociology established in 2001 right from the inception of College. The College runs B.A. program affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Amravati. The Department of SOCIOLOGY is one of the active Departments in the same college. Our credit that many student enrolled for post graduation in the Sociology. The department regularly organizes various academic, co-curriculum activities such as group discussion, power pint presentation, workshop, seminars and tour. The department strives hard to motivate students for various competitive Examinations. The department actively support and enlist the student for there all round development. Day by day the department is progressing ahead the dynamic faculty member, students and last but not the least the Principal of the College.

Aims& Objectives

The department has been performing exceedingly well with following main objectives.

  1. To provide quality and value based Education to the under graduate students in Sociology.
  2. To facilitate a common based for collective activities for the benefit of the students and to Understand the strategies of the politics.
  3. To enhance the innovative skills and creativity in students in politics.
  4. To sensitize the students on socio-economic cultural and political awareness and environment Issues in the society
  5. To increase the political views in Rural Industries students.
  6. To enlighten the students on youth leadership and self-employment opportunities.
