Library Department
Introduction
The Library of Jijamata Arts College, Darwha established in the year 2001.Since then library has made consistent progress in terms of collection of books, periodicals, services and infrastructure provided.
Our library is a storehouse of knowledge, where various sources of information are available for the students and the teachers. To enhance the quality and knowledge for the overall development of the students the library continuously works hard through various ways. It is a center of academic activities, enriched with reference books, journals, newspapers, bound volumes, CD-ROM, and computer assisted knowledge gaining sources like internet etc. We allow open access to the collection and encourage students to browse through the stacks.Since its establishment; it has contributed substantially to the overall development of the college in accordance with the principles set by our parent institution "NavsanjivanShikshanprasrak Mandal".
Objectives:
- To provide a forum for discussing library and information needs and expectations of the faculty and the students.
- To ensure a balanced growth of the library in line with the overall development of the College and to represent the interests of the Library in various decision-making groups.
- To provide an opportunity to faculty and students to raise and discuss initiatives towards the growth of library and information services and the functioning of library.
- Giving a helping hand to enhance the knowledge.
- To inspire and encourage regular student.
- To achieve social commitment as a center of higher education.
- Students gets chance to get employment for using library.
- Helping eliminate unemployment.
- Inculcate reading culture on every user of the library.
